Twisted Vampire Tale

I held my breath and listened. Nothing there. I walked further. I heard the rustling sound again. I stopped and held my breath. Again nothing. It was probably my imagination but I felt my heart beat faster.

I started to shiver even though it was June. I tried to make as little sound as possible. Suddenly I heard a thumping noise. I spun around. Nothing. When I spun myself back around, a figure was right in front of me. I didn’t have much time to look at it but it had a cruel smile and long nails. It’s nails seemed stained.

I ran faster than I’d ever run. I knocked at the door but no one was home. The figure was lazily walking towards me as if it was just strolling. I got my back against the wall and started to cry. I felt a pain in my neck and it was over.

It isn’t that bad being human. I thought it would be worse. I still miss being a vampire though. I miss those days before I was bitten by a human.
