The Jack-In-The-Box

Once there was a toymaker. His name was Jack. He made puppets, dolls, and teddy bears. One day, Jack decided it was time for a slight change. He was going to make a new toy. So he took a box, his tools, a handle, and some wood. He worked for weeks, trying to perfect his new toy. It was supposed to be wound up, playing some music as it's wound and finally, a hand pops out. It's used at Halloween. But eventually he gave up. He went to bed, exhausted.

In the middle of the night, a strange tune began. Dun dun, Dun dun, dun dun dun dun,dun dun, dun dun, dun dun dun. Slowly, the mistereous sound crept closer, and closer to the peacefully sleeping toymaker. Finally it was on his bed. Dun dun, dun dun, dun dun dun dun, dun dun,dun dun, dun dun. SPROING!!Out of the box came the hand, holding a knife. The hand held the knife to Jack's throat. 1, 2, 3, SLICE! Blood splurted everywhere, as the hand brutally cut off the man's head. After the hand did so, he replaced the hand with the jack's head. In doing so, he created the worlds first Jack-in-the-box.

Twenty-years-later, seven girls where having a sleepover. They were in the attic, going through a chest of clothes. They where playing dress-up. As they were going through the chest, one of the girls, Katie Jones, noticed a box. She picked it up, and noticed a handle on the side. She turned it. Dun dun, dun dun, dun dun dun dun, dun dun,dun dun dun. SPROING!

An old, decayed head popped out."AAAHH!" the girls screamed. Ding dong... the dorbell rang. "I-I'll get i-it.." said Katie, anxious to escape the room, and to get away from the head. Get away, as far as possible. She half-ran to the door, wondering who would ring this late at night.

"Hello?" said Katie. Her jaw dropped. In the doorway was Jack, headless, and waiting for his head. Katie screamed. That was the last anyone heard of little Katie Jones.....

Dun dun, dun dun, dun dun dun dun dun, dun dun, dun dun, dun dun dun....SCREAM.....Death is calling.
