Chico

Chico

THIS IS SOOO NEAT LOOKING AT THINGS FROM WAY UP HIGH, SAID "CHICO" THE CHIHUAHUA TO "HANK" THE HAWK.

.....CHICO AND HANK BECAME FRIENDS IN THE MOST UNUSUAL WAY. HANK WAS FLYING AROUND LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO EAT, WHEN HE SAW CHICO IN THE BACKYARD.

HE SWOOPED DOWN TO PICK UP CHICO, AND WHEN HE DID, RATHER THEN BEING SCARED OF FLYING, AS ALL OTHER MEALS IN THE PAST WERE, CHICO LIKED THE THOUGHT OF BEING UP SO HIGH.

THAT'S WHEN HANK DECIDED TO MAKE FRIENDS WITH CHICO AND FIND A MEAL SOMEWHERE ELSE.

EVERY DAY "HANK" THE HAWK WOULD FLY BY CHICO'S HOUSE, AND IF "CHICO" THE CHIHUAHUA WAS OUTSIDE IN HIS BACKYARD, HANK WOULD FLY HIM AROUND TO SHOW CHICO THINGS FROM UP HIGH. CHICO LOVED THAT.

CHICO ASKED HANK IF THEY COULD FLY OVER TO THE LITTLE RED SCHOOLHOUSE?

HANK SAID THAT WOULD BE GREAT, BUT HE WOULD HAVE TO BE CAREFUL NOT TO GET OTHER HAWKS MAD BY COMING INTO THEIR TERRITORY.

THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME CHICO EVER WENT SOMEWHERE AWAY FROM HOME WITHOUT TELLING HIS OWNERS. HANK DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT OWNERS BECAUSE HE DIDN'T HAVE ANY.

WHEN THEY ARRIVED AT THE LITTLE RED SCHOOLHOUSE, HANK LET CHICO DOWN TO WALK ON HIS OWN, BECAUSE HANKS ARMS WERE TIRED. THEY GOT TO SEE MANY COOL ANIMALS AND THINGS.

ONE THING THEY SAW WAS AN EAGLE IN A CAGE. HE WAS VERY BIG BUT HIS WING WAS BROKEN SO HE COULDN'T FLY. THEY FELT SAD FOR THE EAGLE AND MADE FRIENDS WITH HIM.

NEXT THEY SAW A SQUIRREL NAMED "SALLY". SHE WAS SCARED OF HANK AT FIRST, BUT CHICO TOLD SALLY HANK WAS HIS FRIEND. SALLY ASKED IF SHE COULD BE THEIR FRIEND TOO. CHICO AND HANK SAID, "OF COURSE!"

AS THEY WALKED ALONG THE TRAIL, THEY MET UP WITH A GOOSE. HE CALLED HIMSELF, "GEORGE THE GREAT!" HE MADE THEM BOTH LAUGH AT THE WAY HE SAID THAT! HE INSTANTLY BECAME THEIR FRIEND.

BY THIS TIME CHICO AND HANK WERE GETTING HUNGRY, SO HANK SAID I WILL FIND US SOME FOOD, BUT CHICO SAID IF WE FLY BACK TO MY HOUSE, MY OWNERS WILL FEED BOTH OF US.

SO HANK PICKED UP CHICO AND OFF THEY FLEW. AND THEY ARRIVED AND CHICO'S OWNER'S GAVE HANK FOOD TOO.

THEY SAW CHICO'S BROTHER "BRUISER." HE IS A PUG.

HE LIKED "HANK" THE HAWK.

BRUISER WAS TOO HEAVY FOR HANK TO PICK UP, SO CHICO WOULD TELL BRUISER EVERYDAY ABOUT THEIR ADVENTURES.

BRUISER LOOKED FORWARD TO HEARING NEW STORIES FROM HANK AND CHICO.

MAYBE SOMEDAY THEY WILL FIGURE OUT A WAY TO TAKE BRUISER WITH THEM ON A FUN JOURNEY.
