I am so glad you tried one of the recommendations. I think your relationship with Tina will improve nicely.

You hit the nail on the head when you said "...we're the parents...". You got that right. Don't feel intimidated.

Remember that it is your job to ultimately do what you think or learn is right. A parents worse flaw is often the inaction. A fear that they will alienate the child. Clearly, starting early makes all of it simpler.

As kids get older and experience other forces outside, your job becomes even tougher.
